Understanding Key Data and Trends

Underlying Drivers for Teen Pregnancy in Georgia  

The primary objective of this intervention is to expose the entrapping nature of teen pregnancy and how young people can un-trap themselves from its limitations.

 

It seeks to highlight:

  • How the experience of teen pregnancy Traps young Black women and their children in a state of deprivation, poverty and a cycle of negative health and social outcomes.

  • How social realities Entrap young Black women exposing them to the dangers of risky sexual behavior and early childbearing.

  • How the legacies of the past Traps Black women and their partners in a cycle of vulnerability.

  • The resilience of Black women and their efforts to Un-trap themselves from the cycle and limitations of teen pregnancy.
